Dakota Caynor, MFT-T

As a therapist I believe my role is to give clients the opportunity to look at themselves and their problems in order to accept themselves or make meaningful changes in their lives. I am a new therapist in the Barberton/Akron area who is working towards a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Akron.

The majority of my experience comes from couples and clients working through trauma, but I can work with a variety of clients such as families or individuals. I typically use techniques from Narrative Therapy, Strategic Therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy, but it is important to me to be flexible enough to meet clients where they are at.

I offer a free consultation to give clients the opportunity to see if I am a good fit for their needs and will try and offer a referral if I cannot.
